Here's something interesting I heard during a C-SPAN interview of author Christopher Hitchens: The right to vote should also include the right to abstain. I've been saying that for years, yet many Americans say voting should be (or is) mandatory. You can't have freedom of choice if that freedom doesn't include the right to say no as well as the right to say yes. But in this backward pseudo-society, many folks think freedom is not about choice, but is about what "society" tells you to think. Ho ve and whatever!
